BACK TO BASIC

I didn't see this coming – and yet I really did.
I held back & denied – and after that I hid.
So here I am NOW -- & it's now back to basic
I can’t and I won’t – be a victim or statistic
The past is the past -- & the future can be -- my (now) present
I can’t & I won't -- have regret, remorse, or resent.
I will travel so cautious -- so light and so free.
‘Cause I know that I'm meant -- to create, -n- I’m to be.
Back to basic … one step at a time … Back to basic
I am forgiven & faultless – so free and so fantastic
I am mindful & mentored – so measured and majestic.
Yet, it's the SHARE & the DARE – and just simply to CARE.
I am so in tune -- to BE in the present -- & that is what I share.

Distractions, retractions -- I know why I. I know the I.
